Gabriela Goodwin, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Gabriela received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas in 2012. She began her career serving clients in the home health setting before founding Little Red Wagon Pediatric Therapy in 2016. In 2019, Gabriela rebranded the practice to become Goodwin Therapy Specialists. With the name change, the practice also expanded its treatment services to include myofunctional therapy, and to treat young adults needing additional support as they transition to college and/or the workforce.

Gabriela believes in continued learning and keeping up with the latest research in order to better serve our community. She has continued to grow her knowledge in the field by specializing in Prompt, Debra Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Lidcombe for preschool children who stutter, DTTC, DIR Floortime and myofunctional training to better serve children in need of specialized treatment. She is a recipient of ASHA ACE Award for continued education (70 contact hourswithin a 36-month period) and is proud to have been nominated by the community to be a DFW Child Mom-Approved Therapist.

“As communication improves, relationships between caregivers and the child grow as well. We often take for granted simple things in life such as being able to say ‘I love you’ or ‘mommy.’ It’s so rewarding to help families experience those moments for the first time.”

When she’s not working to help our families reach their goals, you’ll find her chasing after her soon-to-be three-year-old and five-year-old around town, expanding her cooking skills (aspiring to be like her mom who is an amazing cook) or at home enjoying a nice cup of coffee.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Col. 3:23-24
